FRAME FILTER PRESS MACHINE
The maintenance is essential to the operation of filter press, and it is required to lubricate and service mating parts and transmission parts; in particular, the accuracy and reliability of feedback signal positions (electric contact pressure gauge and travel switch etc.) of auto-ontrol system and hydraulic system parts must be guaranteed, to ensure the normal operation. For this purpose, following requirements must be met:

Check whether various connections are secured firmly and whether various parts function properly at any time; if any abnormality is found, the service personnel shall be informed thereof immediately.

Perform regular checks against plate pulling trolley, sprocket chain, bearing, piston rod and other parts, keep all mating parts clean and well-lubricated to ensure the flexible movement, and adjust the synchronization of pulling trolley and the sag of chain if necessary.

Perform regular insulation and reliability tests against the electric control system; if any working inaccuracy or inflexibility caused by electric elements is found, such elements must be repaired or replaced immediately as appropriate.

Servicing hydraulic system primarily comprises the inspection and maintenance of sealing performance of hydraulic elements and joints.

Frequently check the sealing surface of filtering plate to ensure its smoothness and cleanness. Before pressing operation, carefully check the filtration fabric, making sure that no folding, damage or slag patch is presented and the cloth is flat and intact, to obtain good filtering efficiency; meanwhile, frequently wash the cloth to ensure its filtering performance.

Where the machine is not to be used for long, clean the filtering plates, arrange them on the filter press frame in order and press them with a pressure of 1-5MPa; clean and dry the filtration fabric, and apply grease onto exposed parts of the piston.

The HM46 or HM68 hydraulic oil must be applied and kept clean. For a new machine, the hydraulic oil shall be renewed after the first week. To renew the oil, fully discharge the oil from the oil tank and cylinder. One month later, replace the oil again, and the subsequent replacements shall be done every half year, with the purpose to ensure the normal operation of the filter press.
BELT FILTER PRESS MACHINE
During the sludge filter press operation, there are many problems caused by misoperation, when there is any such problem, all the sludge filtering system need to be stopped and all the system can’t work, in order to prevent such serious problem guarantee the filtering system in high efficiency and stable operation, Leo Filter Press Technical Department suggest the following operation and maintenance tips for belt filter press.
The Tips for Operation and Maintenance Belt Filter Press for Sludge Dewatering:

Check belt filter press filter cake output condition frequently, if the filtrate is not clear, filter cake recycling ability decreasing, or hard to discharge filter cakes, then need to check the whole machine carefully to find out the problem.

Check the air pressure gauge stage, if not stable air pressure numbers, stop the belt filter press operation and check the problem as soon as possible.

Check the filter press belt running condtions, make sure the upper and lower filter cloth over covering not more than 5cm, the filter mesh should not be too close to the rollers or its continuous moving will damage the filter mesh.

Guarantee enough filter cloth washing time ,when stop the belt filter press operation, all the inner side, especially the filter cloth should be washed completely to guarantee all the surface 100% cleaned to decrease the filter cake corrosion or when the filter cake dried will be hard to clean it away from the filter cloth surface.

Please follow the instructions on the belt filter press operation and maintenance manual, check the filter press state frequently

Lubricate the bearings for the belt filter press, if damaged ,please change it as soon as possible

Check the slurry conditions, get rid of those small stone, metallic nuts which will damage the filter cloth surface or damage the filter cloth.

Make detailed operation and maintenance record, make sure all the filter press operator know the filter press working and maintenance state.
